Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Sharaketna (شراكتنا, formerly called Joint Accounts) is operated by Ayman Omar, an individual living in Egypt. He is the controller of your personal data. There is no company behind this service.
Privacy requests: [email protected]
The permit number from Egypt's Personal Data Protection Centre will be added here once it is issued.
If this policy is shown in more than one language, the Arabic text prevails for users in Egypt.
2. What we collect
Account data: your name and email address. We do not collect a phone number.
Partnership and ledger data: account names, members, ownership shares, and transactions (amounts, dates, categories, and notes). This is financial data.
Files you attach to a transaction, such as a receipt photo or PDF.
Optional AI inputs, only if you allow AI: text you type, a voice recording used to make a transcript, and receipt images or PDFs. We do not keep the voice recording.
Purchase status: an app user id and subscription events from Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
Feedback you choose to send us, and technical logs kept by the hosting providers.
If you invite someone, we store their email address only until the invitation is accepted, revoked, or expires after 14 days. A nominal owner is stored as a name and a share only, with no email and no phone number.
3. Why we use it
To provide the shared ledger, optional AI entry, subscriptions, support, and security.
4. Legal basis
We rely on your consent. In the app you confirm that you are 18 or older, you accept the Terms and this Privacy Policy, and you expressly consent to the processing of your data to provide this service. Accepting this policy includes storage and processing in the European Union and the United States. That consent is required for the service. Withdrawing it means deleting your account.
AI processing is a separate consent. You can turn it off in Settings → Privacy without deleting your account.
5. Who receives it
Other members of a shared account see what you add to that account, including your name and account email. They do not see a phone number.
Processors and independent controllers:
Supabase, in the European Union: accounts, ledgers, files, and AI usage records. Processor.
Cloudflare, a United States company, on a global edge network: the web app and AI requests while they are in transit. Processor.
OpenAI, in the United States: text you submit for parsing. Processor.
Google Gemini, in the United States: receipt and bill images and PDFs. Processor.
Speechmatics, in the European Union: voice audio for transcription. Processor. We do not store the audio.
RevenueCat, in the United States: app user id and purchase events. Processor.
Apple and Google, in the United States: store purchases and sign-in. They are independent controllers for their own stores.
Resend, in the United States: invitation emails, which contain the recipient's email address, the inviter's name, the account name, and the link. Processor. Invitation emails are transactional. They are not marketing.
These providers are not allowed to train their models on your data for this service.
6. Transfers abroad
Your data is stored and processed in the European Union and the United States, as listed above. You consent to these transfers by accepting this policy. We apply for the Egyptian cross-border transfer permit.
7. How long we keep it
Your account and the ledgers you belong to are kept while your account exists.
If you delete your account and other signed-in people still use a shared ledger, the transactions stay. Your name on them is replaced with "Former member". Notes and photos already in that ledger stay, because the other partners may need those records. Egyptian books are kept for five years, and deleting the rows would change their results.
If you are the only signed-in member of an account, that account and its transactions are deleted. A name-only nominal owner does not count as another person.
AI parse records are deleted after 90 days. Voice audio is not stored. Feedback attachments are deleted after 12 months. The written feedback stays until you delete your account.
An invitation is deleted when it is accepted, revoked, or 14 days after it is sent.
Consent records are kept while your account exists. After deletion we keep only a one-way hash of the user id, the time, and this policy's version, as proof that the account was deleted. We do not keep your email in that proof.
Sign-in and IP logs are kept for as long as the hosting provider keeps them by default.
8. Your rights
You can download your data from Settings → Privacy. The file includes your profile, your memberships, transactions attributed to you, sheets you created, and feedback you sent.
You can correct your name on your profile.
You can delete your account in the app, and on the web app at /delete-account. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Cancel that in the store if you do not want to be charged.
You can withdraw AI consent in Settings → Privacy.
You can object to processing, or ask a question, by emailing [email protected].
We aim to answer within 30 days, and sooner if the Personal Data Protection Law requires it. You can complain to the Personal Data Protection Centre in Egypt.
9. Security and breaches
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to database rows is limited to the people allowed to see them. Files are kept in private storage. If a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we notify the Personal Data Protection Centre within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and we notify affected people when the law requires it.
10. Age
You must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data about children.
11. No sale, no advertising, no model training
We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising tracking. We do not allow providers to train their models on it.
12. Changes
When this policy changes in a material way, the version number changes. The app will ask you to accept the new version before you continue. The previous version you accepted stays in the consent register.
